About me

Being brought up in the early 90s in a small city by a hardworking and highly skilled tradesperson taught me, through every opportunity I had as a young kid taking part in building, plumbing, or wiring, the fundamental values of resourcefulness and accountability.

A childhood filled with hand tools and books, along with everlasting curiosity and a desire to learn, couldn’t have led me far from pursuing an engineering degree. As a Civil Engineer, I’ve found a rewarding way to contribute to society, reflecting the values that have guided me throughout my life.

Unsurprisingly, my hobbies are directly connected to the urge to bring ideas to life. Endlessly shuffling through my LEGO set as a kid to find the right piece for a novel mechanism eventually evolved into metal machining and welding, which led me to work with all sorts of hand and power tools, as well as a CNC machine I fully designed and built myself.

Teaching myself CAD software for designing and drafting was a step I took even before starting my engineering degree, and it’s a skill that I’ve continued to polish ever since. Alongside 3D printing and its hassles, I’m venturing into building musical instruments, which I take joy in playing once completed. I’m also curious about programming, and I occasionally try my hand at coding in Kotlin and Java.

All the knowledge and experience gained from my hobbies and interests have become a valuable addition to my professional career.
